Hope someone can help. I bought a domain in march, added content 4 months
ago, but it still has PR0 - www.free-tabs.com

How big is this google sandbox? I get nothing from Google, yet the meta
tags seem to be perfect.

Google doesn't use meta tags for positioning.

META has very little it will do in helping a site. META description
more so as some search engines will use part of it in the abstract
shared on the results page. But in terms of "weight" - in terms of
ranking and such - very little 'pull'.

Sandbox is rumored ot last around 3 months on Google.

BUT in terms of PR, which you mentioned 'still being at 0' ... PR was
last updated, on the toobar display, in lamid-late October. Google
will not be updating the toolbar display until January or February as
it is said they will updating that only maybe around 4 times a year.
Basically a couple or so days after it is updated, it will be
out-dated info. *shrug* So you will have to wait a month or
thereabouts yet for the PR display to be updated.

Side thought: "This site provides a large archive of free guitar tabs
and chords from thousands of bands. The tabs and chords on this site
are created by individuals for personal or educational usage. Feel
free to share your tabs with other players by submitting a song. If
you are unable to find a specific song on this site, please request
the song so it will be added for you and other guitar players. "

I would change "This Site" to "Free-Tabs" and move that paragraph to
either above the menu or above the 3 columns of content versus at the
bottom of the page. This gives a description of your site to readers
plus the spiders, before the rest of the content shared.

Hey Carol, did you read my sandbox stuff yet?
Oh yes, ah, Colin, there's more to it than meta tags. Anyway, Google
only updates PR when it feels like it so there's no rule of when going
on.

Nope, but Ihave my cuppa in hand and happily reading through posts
while the child had fun with his Legos - which sadly has the living
room looking like a LegoLand explosion took place in there.

Or did you email it to me? I havent' checked my email yet today. [I
did drop you a line a couple or so days ago ...]

try the following google search

guitartabs.cc -site:www.guitartabs.cc

and you will see that they have thousands of refering sites.

also repeat the search in altavista and then do the same for your own site
as a comparison

That is what you are up against!

been trashed with most of them I'm afraid.
