and like everything else the site works in IE. Also it validates so it
sounds like a browser bug. Where do I go for advice about this, any
ideas? I'm off to hunt down the Firefox forums now but if anyone knows
anything quicker I'd be obliged.

When you say doesn't work in Firefox, what are you seeing?
I recently had some trouble with Firefox and missing "#" on some colors
- it refused to read them. Amazingly (to me) the page validated at w3c
without those "#" in front of the colors.
I'm not sure how it comes to pass that colors are missing the "#", but I
guess it happens and without Firefox, I would have continued to be
blissfully unaware.

The validator isn't programmed to distinguish between acceptable and
unacceptable color values. As such a wide variety of strings are valid
values for a color, the validator cannot reasonably sort that out.

It doesn't layout right. Instead of going across the page it just goes
straight down. It's the only site I've personally been involved with
to any extent that has the problem. I think I need to fiddle with the
CSS. Pain in the bleeding arse.

Does the page validate? Firefox seems to be a little less forgiving
than the others. If it validates, there are a lot of things that you
could rule out.
