It's actually trivial to get multiple versions of IE running using this
site http://www.skyzyx.com/downloads/ and you don't even have to
install anything. Just unzip the files and away you go.
IE4 won't let you type an address into the address bar but just to
Ctrl+O and type the address in that way and it works.
